With the Austin, Texas based Night Owl Mobile Recording Rig, owner and engineer Allen Kyle has done live multi-track location recording for artists like Billy Joe Shaver, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis, J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., James McMurtry, Jack Ingram, Malford Milligan, Ray Wylie Hubbard, the Austin Jazz Band, Cory Morrow, John Wesley Harding, the Deep River Ministry, the Geezinslaws, Tish Hinojosa, the Lost Trailers, the Octopus Project, Dale Watson, and many others.
At the Promiseland Recording Studios in Austin, Texas, Allen has been able to co-engineer, alongside Gold/Platinum recording engineer Mike Hersh, nearly 100 multi-track live recordings of the Awakening, a live praise and worship music television program currently airing in millions of homes on digital cable television networks like TBN and Daystarr. Featured Awakening artists have included Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Russ Taft, the Katinas, Israel Houghton, the Crabb Family, Becky Fender, and many, many more. Also at the Promiseland Studios, Allen has the privileage of recording and mixing Alabanza Real, a live, Latin praise and worship music program currently televised on TBN Enlace, FETV, and in several parts of South America.
Allen's years spent in radio with the now defunct Star System radio network and KVET FM in Austin, Texas enabled him to work with and live record some of country music's biggest stars, including Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Larry Gatlin, Jerry Jeff Walker, Pat Green, Gary P. Nunn, The Derailers, and many others.
